Azumi Takeda

Azumi Takeda

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture. Completed a Master's program in Art Studies at Kyoto University of Art and Design.
She primarily uses etching and aquatint, copperplate engraving techniques, to depict people with narratives. She has held solo exhibitions at venues such as the November Gallery (Tokyo) and participated in group exhibitions throughout Japan.
"They are usually alone. Even when they are together, they are alone.
Perhaps only stories can offer refuge to these solitary figures. I feel that only by capturing their various perspectives on copperplate engravings does the story truly become mine."
