Katsuaki Shigeno

Born in Chiba City. Completed a Master's program in Printmaking at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts.

Holds solo exhibitions at 77 Gallery (Tokyo), Nihonbashi Takashimaya Art Gallery X (Tokyo), and others.

While widely known as a copperplate engraver, she has expanded her expressive range to include oil painting, watercolor, silk painting, and ceramics. Drawing inspiration from personal and fragmented everyday life, her works, created with a unique sensibility, are improvisational yet imbued with rich narrative.
