ARS COMBINATORIA

In the 13th century, Lullus, a philosopher, theologian, and poet from Mallorca, proposed "Ars Combinatoria" (the art of combination), a method of combining all elements (knowledge, concepts) to create new knowledge and discoveries. This methodology was later inherited by Leibniz and others, and influenced mathematics, literature, and other fields.

This exhibition features works by Koichi Iyoda, known for his highly imaginative works created with meticulous descriptive power, and Sui Yumeshima, who depicts a mystical and magical world with unrestrained expression. Each artist has created works based on the theme of Ars Combinatoria, each with their own unique perspectives. We hope you will enjoy the fusion of their artistic worlds.
